Rez mestom je festival urbánnej kultúry s jednoduchým posolstvom: ponechať mestský priestor ľuďom a vytvárať priestor pre alternatívy. Tento rok od 1. do 4. juna dostanú počas festivalu možnosť zapojiť a predstaviť sa v opustenej budove v Bratislave zvukoví i mestskí umelci, garážové kapely, videoartisti, maliari, urbánni i iní ekológovia. Prezentácia zároveň otvára diskusiu o ne/existujúcich možnostiach kultúrneho života u nás, a je pozvánkou k participácii.

Rez mestom is a festival of urban culture due to take place 1. - 4. june 2006. The idea was born after Studio Burundi organised REZ ULICOU, an event that brought together street art, sound art and psychogeography in an attempt to show the various ways in wich the city is perceived by people or in which people get involved in the city life. REZ MESTOM aims a bit higher: it is conceived as a mini-festival of urban culture, which will take place for 3 days in a non-used building, thus proving that urban space belongs to the public and can be used if there are enough will and ideas. The event aims to do a cross section through the various groups that are active in the city's cultureal life from sound artists to street artists, from garrage bands to video makers, from urbanists to painters and so on. 3 days of workshops, presentations, screenings, concerts, fire-shows, artistic studios - a free form for various content that will be choosed based on an open "curatorial policy" [an open call will be made and practically any group/individual has chances to submit a project]. The presentation aims to propagate the open call, to give details on the structure of the event, to gather peopel in a working group and, last but not least, raise a question on the cultural life of bratislava and the unsufficient space for alternatives.
